Seriously though, this is good news for America. Can our troops come home now?

Pope John Paul II beatified. 1.5 million people turned out for the Vatican City ceremony. Pope Benedict XVI praised his predecessor, saying “He restored to Christianity its true face as a religion of hope.”

Royal wedding draws huge ratings. In the U.S. alone, nearly 23 million people tune into watch the old-fashioned celebration of   hope in the future that marriage represents.  Maybe we’re not such a cynical country after all.

Finally… I’d like to join with the rest of America in thanking God for continuing to heal our nation following the tragic attack of 9/11/2001.  We have our differences in this country but we should never forget how much we have to be grateful for. Take it away Lee Greenwood.
