Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne are likeable in their roles as judges on America’s Got Talent, to be sure.

But only Piers Morgan consistently takes his role seriously as a TRUE judge of talent.

That was evident again Tuesday night when he praised a group of dancers/jump-ropers (Summerwind Skippers) and again pooh-poohed a supposed singer/entertainer who has made it ridiculously far in the competition. (Mauricio Herrera)

Morgan may come across as mean and arrogant at times, and is NOT yet a great interviewer on his CNN talk show that replaced Larry King.

But on America’s Got Talent, Morgan is the one judge worth watching for consistently correct opinions.

On the rare occasions he is incorrect, Morgan is also “judge” enough to admit it as he did with a music group. (Poplyfe).

In judging judges, Piers is guilty … of doing the best job on this bench.
