I’ve pointed out before in this blog that one is more than five.
That is, love him or hate him, Glenn Beck at 5 p.m. on FOX News was MUCH stronger programming than the five “yakkers” that replaced him on The Five.
The solution: give Rush Limbaugh the hour to fill it with “El Rushbo” programming.
There are several options here: the show could be a best-of his radio program from earlier in the day.
Or perhaps mix highlights of his show with a 10-minute interview Rush conducts with a newsmaker of the day.
As strong as his radio ratings are, many people probably don’t listen to Limbaugh’s show during the day because they are busy at work or whatever.
Rush’s personality would be a perfect fit at FOX News, especially if the nation is becoming more conservative again.
He also had a pretty successful TV show from 1992-96, so it would not be Rush’s first foray into TV.
He also fits in with other strong hosts on FOX News, including Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity.
What do you think? Would you watch Rush at 5 p.m., or at least set your DVR to record his show on FOX News?
