I can’t and won’t watch the ABC comedy Modern Family‘ in its entirety.

I have my reasons, but that is for another blog post perhaps.

The snippets I have seen of one of the dad’s, Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) , are often smart , funny and inspiring though.

This past week featured him walking a tightrope to show his son that anything is possible.

It also was a nice moment for his wife and two daughters, who came upon the scene.,

Funny, sweet and nice TV … if only there was more like it.
