Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, who reportedly will resign AFTER the season in the wake of sex abuse charges against a former assistant coach, should leave NOW.

The sordid details over Jerry Sandusky’s alleged behavior so disgusting and so public why should the face of the program stay a day longer.

Why should he WANT to?

If JoePa knew about Sandusky’s alleged behavior 10 years ago, as some reports have indicated, he should slither away quietly in the night.

Strong words, I know, but it’s horrible what allegedly happened to youngsters under the watch of one of Paterno’s key men.

Paterno seems to be more concerned about his pride and his legacy than he is about this awful, AWFUL story.

Joe must go … NOW!
