OK, so Chris Christie and Sarah Palin will stay out of the race for the Republican nomination for president.

There is still plenty to like about the candidates that ARE running, including former Godfathers Pizza CEO Herman Cain.

Cain is a multi-talented, multi-faceted individual from the business world who halso has experience as a board of director of the Federal Reserve  Bank of Kansas City.

Well-spoken, thoughtful and with a good sense of humor, Cain is also a prolific writer and ex-radio show host. I listened to his program out of Atlanta several times and found him to be quite engaging.

Cain has already proven to be telegenic and a good debater on TV, as well.

Knock me here in this column for jumping from praising Rick Perry and Chris Christie … that is fair.

But they both have admirable qualities … as does Herm Cain.
