To say Mark Teixeira has been a solid contributor with the New York Yankees would be an understatement.
The first baseman, entering his fourth season in the Bronx after signing as a free agent, has belted over 30 homers and collected over 100 RBI in each of his first three seasons with New York.
He also seems like a good guy and a class act, which he showed again on a recent HGTV episode of My Favorite Place.
The ex-Rangers and Angels slugger showed off his 13,000 square foot home in Greenwich, CT. on the program and it was something to behold.
The showcase of the five bedroom, eight bath mansion-like home was probably his home office, which had a picture of him catching the 27th out of the Yanks 27th World Series. It also boasts many signed baseballs and an autographed picture of Tex with former president George W. Bush, who once owned the Rangers.
The program showed the picture of Tex and W off nicely, but if he talked about the ex-prez we’ll never know since the shot cut away from the office before he could. Or if he could/did … to be fair. I am always sensitive about slights toward W, so pardon me on that.
I’m glad Tex picked the Yanks and vice-versa, and he certainly looks happy at home.
Someday perhaps he’ll have his own HGTV program?
