People have a clever relatively new expression they are throwing around these days.

They call it a “come to Jesus moment”.

They think it’s clever, but when you think about it, it’s very disrespectful to what Christ does.

Christians believe a come to Jesus moment is when someone goes to Him and He accepts them as their Lord and savior.

Pretty powerful stuff, not to be taken lightly.

This enters the television realm because I have seen the expression thrown around on two television series lately, including Say Yes To The Dress: Atlanta.

I READILY admit I don’t watch that program, I think the expression was used in a promo which is worse since ads are on at all different times.

Sports teams and athletes aren’t immune to misusing Christ and His ideals, either.

A man hoping to return hockey back to the Hartford, CT. area recently said he was “going to have a Jesus moment” to get attention for his cause.

As far as many are concerned the only one who can have a “Jesus moment” is Jesus.

Some things just shouldn’t be messed with.
