It’s too early to call him President Rick Perry.

Or even Republican nominee for President Rick Perry.

But the Texan took to the airwaves Saturday afternoon and ran roughshod over everything in his path.

In a good way … for Americans who believe the nation needs new leadership.

Perry pointed out his own strengths — Texas boasts 40 percent of the nation’s job growth — while blaming President Obama for the nation’s anemic economy and aimless foreign policy.

He was forceful, he was powerful … and Rick Perry may well be the nation’s next best hope for a turnaround.
