With their outstanding lineup, great starting pitching staff which they fortified and a terrific closer there is NO way the Boston Red Sox should be imploding the way they are.

But imploding, with just five wins in their last 20 games, is just what the BoSox seem to be doing.

Somewhere the Mets, who just five years ago jump-started the Phils terrific run with their own colossal collapse, are  watching a horror show similar as the one they “starred” in.

Oh it’s so easy for Red Sox haters to sit back and enjoy this … and they probably are … especially after the team’s recent two World Series wins.

However, some credit must go to the Yankees who are thriving despite having have just one starting pitcher that scares opponents, an aging legend in Derek Jeter and mostly ailing star in A-Rod.

Somehow the Yanks are running away with the AL East while the Red Sox HOPE to limp into the playoffs over the revived Rays.

It’s great theater, and I have enjoyed watching it on mlb.com and MLB Network.
