Oh, are you in luck! Next week, while I’m managing the festivities that will surround my 13-year-old son’s bar mitzvah, Susan Corso will be blogging in this space.

Corso is the author of “God’s Dictionary: Divine Definitions for Everyday Enlightenment,” which provids a spiritual take on everyday words, such as disappointment (“not chosen”), companion (“sharing bread together”), or support (“to carry near”). Wrote Publisher’s Weekly: “Corso’s wordsmithing can have some profound implications, such as when she defines respect as ‘to regard again.'” She knows a lot about how to incorporate spiritual concepts into our daily lives, so tune in to enjoy this inspiring author. I’ll have good stories for you when I return to my desk the Tuesday after Memorial Day.

I leave you with the blessing that happens to be included in my son’s Torah portion, which he will read to an assembled congregation May 26th as Mr. Chattering and I beam beside him!

May The Lord bless you and keep you.

May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you.

May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
