Pastor Michael Todd of Transformation Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma isn’t your average pastor. He’s on a mission to change the life of today’s youth by presenting God to them in a new light. He’s showing his congregation, and the nation, that God is still relevant in today’s modern and secular society.

Todd, along with his wife Natalie, has worked alongside the project Switch Youth in creating relevant content for today’s middle and high school students. He is able to deliver the message of God in a way that speaks to them, rather than alienates. He’s leveraged social media to help his mission, gaining over 500k fans on Facebook, 951k followers on Instagram and 898k subscribers on YouTube.

In a sermon Todd held last year, he went into depth on how today we no longer view sex as sacred. We live in a hook-up culture that only rewards casual, surface-level relationships. It forces young people to settle for less than what God has for them when in reality, God has someone out there for each of us that will respect us, lift us up, and be #RelationshipGoals.

Todd goes on to present what it would look like for a generation to refuse the cultural norms, and instead embrace the ideas that God lays out in the Bible. He challenges those to understand the idea that sex is reserved only for covenant relationships (marriage) because it provides more security, respect, intimacy, and protection.
