Pastor Mike Signorelli of V1 Church in New York City is celebrating a historic revival service that took place in New York’s Times Square. Signorelli said he was inspired to start the event after NYC mayor Eric Adams warned of “lone wolf” attacks following the October 7 attacks in Israel when Hamas soldiers attacked and killed Israeli civilians. Signorelli posted a video of himself walking the streets of NYC and praying, which then went viral and put him in touch with the mayor’s office. After the idea of a revival was put forward, the mayor’s office offered a permit. “This was not just us street preaching and drawing a crowd. We were actually given permission. It was a permitted event,” Signorelli told CBN.
He told CBN that the event saw many people being delivered. “It was just insane. At the end, I prayed for people to receive the gifts of the spirit. There were hundreds of people that reported receiving the gift of tongues. New York City streets were filled with people singing in the spirit; we had many drug addicts surrender drugs, people cancel suicides,” he said. The event featured several speakers who shared what God had done in their lives, including former witch Jenny Weaver. “He took me from a life on the streets, addiction, drugs, an alternative lifestyle…He raised me up and made me a wife, he made me a mom, he made me a daughter of the King. I don’t cut myself anymore. I don’t want to commit suicide anymore. I don’t have to worry about what tomorrow holds because I have a hope. God said it.” Weaver has shared previously about having dabbled in the occult as a teenager, which eventually led to full-blown witchcraft. She would eventually be homeless while pregnant and would be in and out of jail until one night, she was arrested, and a female officer ministered to her. “I didn’t even know who this lady was, and she just said, ‘You have a purpose. God’s got a good plan for your life. I don’t remember her name or anything. But God used her to minister to me, and I never went back from that point on,” she told televangelist Sid Roth in 2019.
Signorelli shared about the event on X, writing, “Tonight we lead them all into the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The streets of NYC were filled with the sound of believers speaking in tongues. Then, we commissioned them to disperse and evangelize. Thousands of people are terrorizing the devil right now.” He told CBN that the day’s events were “historic.” “I feel like it was a historic event, because … it’s very difficult to draw that many people in one place, in a public space. And, to me, that was the sign that America is truly ready for revival, we’re in revival, we’re in those days.”
