Tensions between Israel and Palestine continue to increase, and one doomsday pastor believes this is a sign of biblical prophecy unfolding. Paul Begley, a YouTube sensation with over 350,000 followers, said in a video: “Guys we’ve got breaking news coming out of the holy land, the holy land is on the brink of war now.”

Israeli warplanes bombed the Gaza strip earlier this week in retaliation for balloon and rocket attacks from Palestine forces. Egyptian security officials tried to defuse the situation without luck. Israeli defense minister Benny Gantz had said Hamas, a Palestinian Sunni-Islamic fundamentalist militant organization,  is “playing with fire” which will be “turned back on them”.

Israel’s president Reuven Rivilan said in a statement: “Hamas should know that this is not a game…The time will come when they have to decide… if they want war they will get war.”

If the war happens, Pastor Begley said that this would be the “ultimate war” for the Holy Land and it could wipe out Hamas for good.

“If they say ‘peace and safety’, sudden destruction cometh. What’s amazing about this is you got the UAE signing a covenant with Israel, and you now have other nations that are in very serious negotiations. But as that’s happening, Hamas continues to fire rockets, continues to send incendiary bombs, devices by balloon and kites, and other options. It’s getting ugly,” he said.

“What Israel is telling Hamas is they’re telling them ‘you got to listen to us, we’re not playing around, if you don’t want to play fair or if you don’t want to get involved in some type of peace arrangement where your lives can be so much better, we will go to war with you and we will crush Hamas’.”

He says many Palestinians are “very faithful” Christians, while others are Muslims who only want peace.

“That will liberate the Palestinian people from the stranglehold that they have on them by Hamas. You’ve got a lot of people who are not telling the true story about what goes on in the holy land, and I’m giving it to you from a first-hand account. I’ve been there enough to know there’s a lot of good Palestinian people.”

Pastor Begley claims certain “anti-semitic” voices who are critical of Israel’s territorial claims have been silent since the peace deal with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was signed.

“They went on a sabbatical order. Some of them went into hiding. Because they don’t know how to answer it from a prophecy standpoint. They know that if they say that this is a prophecy event, the signing of a covenant agreements between the UAE and then, let’s say, Bahrain and then Qatar and then Oman and then Morocco and then Saudi Arabia and right on down the line that this becomes a covenant with many. They can’t say that’s what this is because they don’t believe that Israel is Israel and they don’t believe the Jews are Jews. So they don’t know what to do now these events are happening, and they don’t know what to do because it means, well everything they’re saying is bogus, it’s a fairy tale, it’s absolutely heritage heretic doctrine.”

Like many Christians, Pastor Begley believes the return of the Jewish people to the “holy land” of Israel, which was established as a state in 1948, was in accordance with Bible prophecy.

“What we try to do is show you exactly what’s going on, how it relates to the Bible and I’m telling you folks, what’s going on right now is right down the line from the biblical narrative of the word of God,” he explained.

“The prophecies of the holy land is happening, and simultaneously while that’s going on you have a covenant.”
