Are there specific times every day that you eat too much, and you know it but cannot control it? A lot of people who come to my workshops say that they overeat at night, after dinner, and before bed. Or perhaps you’re a late afternoon over-consumer. I can relate to this phenomenon. Often around 4 or 5 pm, I feel tired and want some quick energy. That’s when I crave candy, or baked goods with lots of sugar, to give me a fast pick-up. I avoid the urge with God’s help and by eating a little fruit or a sweet vegetable, such as carrots. How about you? Write about specific times when you feel out of control, whether it’s snack attacks, afternoon or late-night overeating, or poor choices of junk or unhealthy foods: Write about when, what, where and how.
