Like all relationships, forgiveness is best when it is reciprocal. Each will feel the sinof the other as greater— “I forgive you, and you forgive me, but what you did to me was worse.”” But such weighing of misdeeds rarely convinces us. Forgiveness should be wider than one person: This has to be a project for all of us.

So, the important question is: Can you be forgiven by another, if you cannot forgive those who have hurt you? And if you cannot forgive, what right have you to ask for forgiveness from another?
