I would like to take a moment on today’s blog to tell you about a whole new direction in which I am taking the work of Conversations with God.
When the manuscript that I submitted to a publisher in 1994 was put into print, thousands of people began contacting me by e-mail, by letter, and by phone, all asking me the same question…
How can I have my own conversation with God?
I have sought to answer that question in my follow-up writing, in my worldwide lectures, in the workshops and retreats that I have subsequently produced, and in the countless live media interviews that I have given. I have, however, never demonstrated in person how this is done.
There has been a reason for this. I never wanted anyone to think that I thought that this was all about ‘me.’ I wanted to protect the purity of the experience, and I didn’t want anyone to think that I was ‘showing off’ or trying to be the ‘center of attention’. Most of all, I didn’t want to make anyone think that I imagine I was somehow ‘special’ because I had this experience. The whole message of CwG is exactly the opposite.
And so, since the books first came through, I have devoted my life to helping people to understand and to apply the wonderful messages of Conversations with God…but I have never sought to take that work further by helping people to have the actual experience that I had.
Now comes a whole new direction in the work of CwG around the world. Why? Because I am seeing now that simply understanding the messages of Conversations with God is not enough. Not even seeking to apply those messages is enough. The only thing that will really change the world is for people to have a direct experience of the God who shows up in Conversations with God in their lives.
For years I have been going around the world telling people: ‘God is talking to all of us, all the time.’ I realize that unless I create an opportunity for other people to experience this, those will be just hollow words. There is only one thing that I have earnestly wanted to do since my own personal spiritual encounter. People ask me all the time — the media asks me in every interview — ‘What are you trying to do? Are you on a mission?’ I tell everyone, ‘My mission is to change the world’s mind about God.’
I know that if we change our mind about God, about Who God Is and about What God Wants, we will then change our mind about Life, and about What Life Is and what it is All About. Then we will change our mind about Each Other, about Who We Are and Why We Are Here. And THEN…the whole world will change.
I have come to realize that the most effective way to accomplish all of this is to bring people a direct experience of their connection with the Divine — right here, right now. This may involve my showing others how I do it, and if that makes me look like I am just trying to impress people, then so be it. I’ll have to suffer that judgment if that is the cost of what I am really trying to do, which is to demonstrate for others how they can have that experience, too! And I want to invite them and open them to that experience, if I can.
So I am producing a new program…
Your Conversation with God
AN EXPERIENCE OF PERSONAL CONNECTION WITH THE DIVINE

You took the first step when you read Conversations with God.
Now you can take the next step…
…have the conversation.
