By now I suppose you have heard. A Christian minister in Wichita is insisting that President-Elect Barack Obama is a Muslim. He put a sign in front of his church saying so.
Rev. Mark Holick, pastor of Spirit One Christian Church in Wichita, Kansas, placed the following words on the billboard outside his church the other day…

AMERICANS
WE HAVE A
MUSLIM PRESIDENT
THIS IS A SIN
AGAINST THE LORD
Ex 20:3

Rev. Holick was interviewed on CNN yesterday and was asked why he put such a sign up when Mr. Obama has repeatedly stated that he is a Christian. Rev. Holick did not have a chance to offer solid reasons for his assertion, because the interview went in a different direction. He did say in the interview, however, that there was only one path to God, and that is through Jesus Christ.
Rev. Holick quoted the New Testament at John 14:6, in which he said Jesus declared: “I am the truth, the way, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by me.”
The CNN interviewer then asked Rev. Holick how he squares that with the following statement from Pope Benedict XVI:

“It will be in the sincere practice of what is good in their own religious traditions, and by following the dictates of their own conscience, that the members of other religions respond positively to God’s invitation and receive salvation in Jesus Christ even though they do not recognize or acknowledge him as their savior.”

The CNN interviewer also placed the following quote before Rev. Holick, this one from the Rev. Billy Graham:

“I used to believe that pagans in far off countries were lost…were going to hell. I no longer believe that. I believe that there are other ways of recognizing the existence of God.”

Rev. Holick said that he could not speak for the Pope or Rev. Billy Graham, he only knew what he believed. If you do not accept Jesus as your personal savior, you are going to hell.
