Pluto is such a misunderstood planet. I can remember growing up in the era of “Mork & Mindy,” and I would get very confused whenever I heard Mork say “Don’t ever go to Pluto, it’s a Mickey Mouse planet.” Huh? What?
But I get it now. Pluto is a Mickey Mouse planet, in that some people don’t take it any more seriously than they would a cartoon. It was even downgraded to a “dwarf planet” in astronomy in 2006. But in Astrology, Pluto remains a strong planetary player.
And unlike Mickey Mouse, Pluto should be taken seriously. It’s tiny, but powerful, and it’s going retrograde in hardworking Capricorn for five months starting tomorrow.
Pluto goes retrograde every year, so it’s not groundbreaking in that sense. But you should know that when Pluto is retrograde in Capricorn it will put us in a more reflective state of mind that forces us to confront our own dark sides.
This will be a period of personal reckoning intended to lead to self-improvement — after all, we can’t fix the things about ourselves we don’t like until we take a closer look at them, right?
Pluto means business, and there’s nothing Goofy about that.
