Start getting ready for Mercury Retrograde at Tarot.comUh-oh! I just realized I have a camping trip planned for Saturday, July 14 — the day Mercury goes retrograde — and I’m the one driving our gang to the lake!

Mercury goes retrograde about three or four times each year, and it’s never a good idea to be traveling during this time — especially if you’re heading into the wilderness. Just try getting AAA out to fix your tire on a Forest Service Road. Not gonna happen!

But I’m not going to let that stop me. I’m a semi-pro camper, after all! And I’m also an Astrology semi-pro, so I know just what to do: Prepare!

That’s the real key to managing Mercury Retrograde. All you have to do is study up on what kinds of things can go wrong, and then prepare some contingency plans to solve any problems that may arise.

Mercury Retrograde tends to cause problems with both travel and technology, so for this particular camping trip I’m going to make sure my car is checked out before we hit the road, and that I have plenty of spare tires, road flares, extra flashlight batteries and duct tape in the trunk.

I’ll also make sure to fully charge up my mobile phone before we leave (it has GPS we might need), and I’ll do my best not to drop it in the lake. And you know what else? If I do drop my phone in the lake, I’ll still have a good old fashioned map — because THAT is how a camping professional prepares for MRx.
