You know that saying, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade?” Well, Mercury goes retrograde this Saturday, July 14, and I’m prepared to make Retrograde Lemonade.

Actually, I prefer a quote from Paul Rudd in the movie “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” in which his surfer dude character says, “When life gives you lemons, just say _ _ _ _ the lemons and bail.” But we can’t really bail on Mercury Retrograde — it is coming whether we like it or not.

Not only that, but it’s H-O-T throughout most of the country right now. Mercury Retrograde tends to create delays and make things break, so I’m concerned that many of us will be stuck in hot, crowded airplanes or accidentally break their air conditioners.

As for me, I’m going camping alongside a swift little river in Washington state, so I’ll be able to keep my cool. (Mercury Retrograde can’t break a river, right?!)

And for the rest of you, there’s a recipe to cure these hot summer troubles. We’re calling it Retrograde Lemonade, and there’s a different recipe tailored to every sign. You know, spicy for Aries and spiked for Sagittarius.
