I’m a big fan of movies. I often am bewildered, however, that not everyone likes the movies I like. “I mean come on . . . how could anyone disagree with my opinion about a movie?!”

What’s interesting about movies is that there are no objective “good” or “bad” movies. There is a little bit of something for everyone. Some movies some people like; some movies some people don’t like. Some people take one message from a movie – Others a different message.

There is no goal to movies. There is no right or wrong to movies. They are simply reflections of life through which we gain insight and experience. They are a way for us to experience life through someone else’s eyes.

Religions debate and condemn over the “meaning of life.” They are looking for a goal. They are looking for “right” and “wrong.”

Maybe movies tell us more about life that religion ever will – That there is no goal – That there is no right or wrong. That maybe life is simply about God experiencing life (itself) through someone else’s eyes.
