Our daughter forgot her homework, and tried to call us to drive it to school. As we were tempted to help her out, her teacher was adamant that we not do so. He stated, school is for learning, if you remove natural consequences, she will never learn. That’s what school is for – learning through making mistakes.
What great advice I thought. It’s also applicable to adults as school really never ends. Life is for growing, if we remove natural consequences, we will never grow. That’s what life is for – growing through mistakes.
