Kate Beckinsale’s fans have been worried about her health ever since she has been posting photos of her in a hospital bed over the past few days. The actress, 50, first shared that she was in the hospital after she took to Instagram to wish her mother a happy U.K. Mother’s Day. In the series of photos, Beckinsale is seen in a hospital bed, looking teary-eyed. “Happy birthday and U.K. Mother’s Day this last week to my incredible mother,” she captioned the post. “Thank you to those that love us and support us when it’s s— and try to make sure there are some bits that aren’t. And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t. And turn up when we are sick and sit with us . . And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love.” The very first photo on the post is a screenshot of texts with Beckinsale’s mother in which she thanks her daughter for her “fabulous” presents. Beckinsale responded: “God I’m so relieved I was a little impaired.”

Days later, Beckinsale shared a photo to her Instagram stories where she is seen cuddling with her cat, Willow, in her hospital bed. She captioned the photo, “Visitor.” The actress has yet to reveal why she has been in the hospital, but many fans speculate that it could possibly be due to a ruptured ovarian cyst. In 2019, Beckinsale opened up about her experience with ovarian cysts where she shared photos of her in the hospital with the caption, “Turns out a ruptured ovarian cyst really hurts and morphine makes me cry. So thankful to everyone who looked after me,” she captioned two hospital bed photos at the time, adding “#wobbly.” The actress has not given the reason as to why she is in the hospital, but fans are wishing her the best for a quick recovery.
