I pulled the box of mold-made Italian papers from my drawer.  I was writing a letter to a friend and I wanted to make it extra special.  It wasn’t her birthday.  It wasn’t a holiday.  I wasn’t celebrating anything in particular except that I was so happy to have her as  a friend.  That’s a party all on it’s own.

I loved how my pen felt on the beautiful paper.  My words, on their own, were fairly ordinary.  But they looked elegant.  I felt excited when I popped the letter through the mail slot at the post office.

I want to invite you to indulge in the simple pleasure of choosing one of your precious friends and writing  them a little fan letter.  Let them know how much you appreciate them.  And write it in ink, with your hand, on paper.  How long  has it been since there was a sweet appreciation in YOUR mail box?  Wouldn’t it be nice.  Give someone the gift of an envelope  delivered to their home that isn’t a bill, a solication or mass mailing.  Just a personal message from your heart.
