One of my greatest joys has been watching a friend of mine go from claiming she hasn’t a creative bone in her body – to giving outstanding, beautiful gifts to her friends and family…that she has made! It took her quite a while to remember that she is an artist. Just as Picasso indicates, she knew it as a child. But in the midst of regulated trends and measurements of what is “artful” and what is not…she lost her ability to see her creativity.
She’s having a wildly fun time discovering all the ways her good thinking and willingness to experiment play well with her assessment, “I’m creative after all!”
Is there something that you’ve been denying? Something you’ve been saying, “I don’t have an ounce of that in my whole body,” about? Making cards, dancing, singing, baking. Ask yourself…what hidden talent might you uncover today?
