How could anyone forget Randy Pausch?

Last year, I first posted the story of his amazing “last lecture” — and I even preached about it one Sunday in a homily. Steve Hartman, Oprah Winfrey and Diane Sawyer have all profiled him. His video has been watched by millions, and stories about him have hurtled around the blogosphere at lightspeed.

Periodically, someone will ask me, “How’s that professor doing? Randy? The one with cancer?”

I asked Steve Hartman that question a few weeks back and he said, “Believe it or not, he’s doing better. He’s holding his own.”

Among other things, he’s signed a big book deal, and is continuing to spread the word about how to live life to the fullest.

He’s also set up his very own website, which has more information — including daily updates on his condition, and how you download his lecture, or get copies on DVD. Transcripts are also available — and he’s also making copies in several languages.

Oh: and he’s not getting rich off this enterprise. It’s all done free of charge, and it’s all usable without permission.

Pay the website a visit. And keep him and his work in your prayers. The world is a better place because of all the Randy Pauschs out there…
