This picture appears this week in the diocesan paper of Little Rock, Arkansas Catholic, celebrating the largest diaconate class ever. The item notes:

For the first time, the diocese is hosting formation classes in Spanish as well as English. The class includes 52 men and their wives — 22 in the Spanish class and 30 in the English class. Each man was presented with a Bible and Catechism of the Catholic Church. The first weekend, Aug. 1-3, included courses on multiculturalism led by facilitators from the Mexican American Cultural Center in San Antonio, a Mexican fiesta with music, a barbecue lunch and Mass with Bishop Anthony B. Taylor.

What a great development, for the diocese and for the Church!
