Word today that the man who created one of the greatest television episodes (in a series that had many great ones) has passed on to the great writer’s room in the sky.

David Lloyd, who wrote the classic “Chuckles Bites the Dust” episode of the Mary Tyler Moore Show has died.

I pause to remember him this morning, with this classic bit of brilliance. “A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants…” Ah. God bless you, David Lloyd. And thank you.
