I was pleased to find this little gem over at YouTube: a Pixar classic short, “For the Birds.”

If anyone needs reminding of why the geniuses at Pixar are, in fact, geniuses — or why there are things like whimsy and laughter in the world — take three minutes, watch this and feel better.  Sometimes a little sweet foolishness makes all the difference.
