The #royalbaby watch is underway, and throughout all the excitement, hope (and even annoyance for some), it’s a time to pray for the safety for the mother and child.

But it’s also a time to remember the little ones born to families that do not want them. It’s a time to pray for children who are neglected, abused, and without a parent to deeply love them.

Here’s a Christian prayer for a baby or child:

Watch Over This Child

Lord Jesus Christ,
Protect, watch over, and bless this child
With a lively faith,
A fervent charity,
And a courageous hope of reaching your kingdom.

In your name, Amen.
