I just traveled to New York City and was lucky enough to check out Occupy Wall Street. Let me be honest: it wasn’t what I was expecting. I think there were more people crowded around the protestors taking pictures and observing than the actual number of protestors themselves. When I saw Occupy Wall Street it was roughly just a small park loaded with lots of policemen. A little too many policemen, if you ask me.
I’m not trying to deflate the message of the protest or the determination these people feel. Many protestors inspire me because of the passion they have for what they are fighting for. It just reminded me to be cautious of what I see on television. Better for us to do our own research at times than to rely solely on what others are telling us.
