This week, my hat tips to Bobbie, for the comment written in last week’s “Comment of the Week.” May I quote?
“Three months ago I found out that I had diabetes 2, and high cholesterol. I decided that I did not want to have to take medication, so I joined Planet Fitness, It only costs $20.00 a month and I can bring someone with me for free every time I go there. I exercise almost every day for about an hour before I go to work and just eat healthier. I did give up pasta and only eat small amounts of meat a few days a week. I eat a lot of stir-fried vegetables and you can add different kinds of meat to it to have some variety. I lost 32 pounds so far and my cholesterol dropped 30 points in those three months. I still have more weight to lose, but I already feel and look a whole lot better, I can even breathe better. Do it for you and only you, it’s worth it.”
Bobbie is someone who puts needs and beliefs into action. Wonderful. You are an inspiration to us all!
Look how Bobbie’s changing: bringing a friend to exercise with, eating healthier, eating less harmful foods (but not totally eliminating them necessarily), checking cholesterol levels and weight – probably at the physician’s office.
