This week is absolutely amazing in terms of comments!  We’ve set a record!  Never before have we had more comments on a subject.  They are all truly interesting and amazing – and I cannot pick just one to feature today.  Thank you all so much for a very fascinating week of responses.

Please read the widely varied and illuminating comments by clicking here, then add your own, right now.

I did promise in the original article that I would report some patterns.  I read every comment so far (as I read everything everyone posts), and each one is really heart-felt and deep.

In terms of those who posted so far, everyone is “spiritual.” If people expressed membership in an “organized religion,” most of us are Catholic, or Baptist, with a close second as “Protestant.”  There are also many of us, not quite half, who do not belong to church, but attend, and many who practice their beliefs and faiths personally – such as through meditation, prayer, in nature, and by direct experience with God, a Higher Power, etc.

It’s no surprise that no one here said they are atheist or a non-believer.  Many said they had a lot of fear and “hell” put into them as children.  Many also said they had been “born again,” “saved,” or “church is not about the walls, or the outside, it’s about what is inside” or a variation on those themes.

Please tell us about your religion, beliefs and practices if you haven’t already.  Please post!  Please subscribe and return often.
