A way to save a lot of money and lose weight, is to buy generic, or store-name foods. Often, the same manufacturer or packager makes all the food, but puts different labels on it. Same products, different labels.
You are not likely to notice a difference in quality.
The savings are significant. I recently saw two cans of pickled beets, one a name brand, the other was the store’s brand. Identical in every detail. Same beets: name brand one-dollar more! Also, there’s a big difference in canned pasta sauces. The one with the movie-star name is $2.75 more! Frozen peas and green beans – the jolly green big guy’s are almost double the price, and double butter, too.
