A way to save a lot of money and lose weight, is to buy generic, or store-name foods.  Often, the same manufacturer or packager makes all the food, but puts different labels on it.  Same products, different labels.

You are not likely to notice a difference in quality.

The savings are significant.  I recently saw two cans of pickled beets, one a name brand, the other was the store’s brand.  Identical in every detail.  Same beets: name brand one-dollar more!  Also, there’s a big difference in canned pasta sauces.  The one with the movie-star name is $2.75 more!  Frozen peas and green beans – the jolly green big guy’s are almost double the price, and double butter, too.
