Today, as in every day, I want to encourage you to just make one little change to lose weight.  No need for a drastic diet or anything!  Just a small change, done every day, will add up.  Begin you day with a prayer, thanking God or your Higher Power for a new life again today.  Just say, “thank you God.  I’m happy to be alive.  I’m thankful for your help, again and again.”

Make a change and get out and move your body.  Enjoy the spring weather.  Put on some music and dance for 15 minutes.  Of course, get your doctor’s approval before exercising, but most doctors I know will readily agree to some form of movement, be it light, moderate or vigorous.

Make a little change like varying your afternoon snack.  Instead of something highly sweet, try fruit.  Instead of something highly fattening, try vegatables and hummus, or a glass of cold iced-tea or seltzer, sweetened with a shot of unsweetened orange juice, or apricot or berry nectar.

Instead of having seconds at lunch or dinner, eat slower and have only one thing, or a small plate.

Do these little changes every day, and you will see changes in yourself.
