I have started a tradition!  As an American Idol fan (shucks, I admit it), I’m having a great time predicting the American Idol results week-after-week.  You’re very kind to play along, or suffer through — whichever American Idol camp you fall into!  I know there a lot of you who are not in America, and do not see the show; you’re especially kind to allow me this total indulgence.  I also must admit and claim — haven’t I been pretty accurate so far?

OK.  let’s get to my American Idol Results!  Rather, my prediction this week:  Casey James will be going home.

Yes, he’s handsome.  The blue eyes, the hip hair, the perfect teeth and smile (loved it when Harry Connick, Jr. told him to stop smiling so much!).  He’s just not that great a singer though, and as Simon has told us over and over again, “this is a singing competition!”

Mike was awesome.  BUT.  May I say, he’s just not that unique a singer.  He’s smooth.  He’s a crooner.  But the world has a lot of them.

Young Aaron is really talented, but not yet ready to be a superstar.  I’m not buying his songs just yet.  He won’t win, ultimately.

Here’s another prediction:  it’s going to come down to Lee and Crystal, neck and neck at the finish line.  Ultimately, though, it’s going to be Crystal Bowersox, the next American Idol.  There it is.  I’m out-on-a-limb.  Highly prejudiced, certainly.
