We’ve had a great time this year decorating our Christmas tree, and our home.  I’ve also been enjoying hearing about how other families decorate their trees.  But on the Conan show the other night – the most amazing decorations ever were revealed.

There are the standard accoutrements, such as colored lights (some blinking, others just glow on-and-on), bulbs, ornaments of every conceivable kind, and tinsel.  Don’t forget the tinsel!  But on Conan there were green aliens, flowing cascades of sparks, and electric tinsel!

I have also seen some old-fashioned Christmas tree decorations, and I love them.  Strings of cranberries.  Remember those?  Remember as a child, carefully stringing hundreds or even thousands with sharp needles onto a thread? To complete the scene, he added a Cyclops snowman.  A Robo-Rudolph blowup.

And Mr. and Mrs. San-Magna-ta-tron-micro-Claus.  Or something like that.

Honoring his Jewish producer, they created a giant Robo-Rabbi, a Torah reading, yarmulke wearing, old white-bearded electro-sage.

Topping it all of, was a giant inflated plastic Christmas chicken sandwich!
