OK, it’s the start of a new week. It’s another day, yes, but today’s a special day. It’s the start of a new you.

Here’s what to do if you’ve stepped on the scale today, and it’s “not what you expected.”

1 – Don’t panic. Put your trust in God, and ask Him for help.
2 – Try to get real. What is it you’re doing (or not doing) that may be causing the problem?
3 – Are you off your food plan? Many people have purchased a book, or started a new program, but really aren’t doing it. Is that you?
4 – are you eating a lot of something in particular? Like carbohydrates? Like too much fatty foods? Simply ask God to help you eat less of these trouble foods.
5 – are you exercising? Do you walk every day, at least? Remember, moving, playing, being physical makes you feel good. Just get up, get out, and go!

I hope these ideas are helpful. Most of all, don’t worry, and don’t do anything drastic. Like the old fable of the Tortoise and the Hare, slow and easy wins!
