Religious ideology can become blurry as time and change warp human perceptions, therefore reexamination of religious doctrine can be beneficial. This blog is a continuation of a review of the tenets of Christian Science as presented in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

Tenet #5 reads:

We acknowledge that the crucifixion of Jesus and his resurrection served to advance faith out of the emptiness of matter/energy into the understanding of eternal Life and the allness of Soul, Spirit.

My comments:

  • Matter, measurable energy, and human brains can be broken down until they are nothing. They can be crucified.
  • Faith in matter/energy and human beings is not reliable.
  • The resurrection of a faith in divine Mind can be established and bring with it an understanding of eternal Life and the universality and all-encompassing presence of God.
