Because Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music were two of my favorite movies, I took to reading the book: Home: A Memoir of My Early Years, by Julie Andrews. But, this is after years of preferring to know Mary Poppins and Maria the nun, more than Julie Andrews.

In her book, Home, I was introduced to a hard working woman with great stamina, Julie Andrews. She takes the reader on a journey revealing a difficult upbringing in war-torn Britain to quick fame when in her twenties.

Andrew’s seems lucky, however, she had to work non-stop for her breaks. And, as challenging as it must be to be famous, I commend her straight talk and generous tone. Thankfully, I still regard Mary Poppins and Maria the nun turned mother of the Von Trapp family, my heroes. And now I know, it took more than Julie Andrews’ great voice to bring those ideals to manifestation. The people behind the scenes are also stalwart, bringing positivity to the universe.

So, whether we are in the spotlight, or behind the scenes, we all play a role in life.
