Our home can be a wonderful place of security. It can also be a place of expression through design and decoration.
There are many books and online articles that supply ideas and assistance in window treatments, decorating with red, wallpaper and more.
Professional interior designers can also be a support in home decor.
However, we don’t want to forget enhancing our home with joy, morality, and compassion. It’s a mental or metaphysical expression of décor.
Observation of metaphysics also opens the mind to see what isn’t seen.
Some people appear not to care about décor. Does this make them style-less or muddled?
Not necessarily.
I have a friend with an apartment in New York City. He let me and another friend, Etta, stay there one night while he was out of town. Etta and I enjoyed our visit to the grand City. And we haven’t forgotten the blue plastic bag used to tie back a curtain.
Our minds could see the bag was affordable, practical, and added color to the room.
From I Peter 3:3-4, ESV
3 Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— 4 but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.

Human mind is the acknowledged seat of human motives; it designs limited concepts and produces all bodily malfunctions. Action proceeding from erring human mind is inappropriate and ends in sin, sickness, and failure. Appropriate action proceeds from the divine Mind. Those two opposite thought sources never mingle in cause or effect. Imperfect human mind projects outward its own imperfections of which the wise man said, “Everything is meaningless.”[1] The perfect Mind expresses perfection. God is meaningful Mind.
