Here are today’s dispatches from the crossroads of faith, media and culture.

1. October Baby arriving in…March? I guess this is what you call a preemie.  Actually, the pro-life film from award-winning directors Jon and Andrew Erwin is already garnering heaps of praise from the likes of the Dove Foundation.  Provident Films—known for its association with such hit faith movies as Courageous and Fireproof—and Samuel Goldwyn Films (distributor of such hit faith films as Fireproof, Amazing Grace and Facing the Giants, among others)  have signed on to market and distribute. A production of the Erwin Brothers and American Family Studios, October Baby tells the story of 19-year-old Hannah, who finds out she is adopted and is the survivor of an attempted abortion. Hannah then goes on a road trip to find answers and locate her birth mother.  Jon Erwin, who also co-wrote the script, describes it as a story that demonstrates “how powerful forgiveness can be.”
Note: I’ll share my  review of October Baby on Wednesday.

2. Patriots 45, Broncos 10, John 3:16. Tim Tebow may have failed to get the football past the goal post enough to win on Saturday night but his beloved Bible-verse made it into living rooms across America thanks to this Focus on the Family spot. (More at The Blaze.)
