For Greater Glory and The Way score ALMA nominations. The National Council of La Raza has announced this year’s American Latino Media Arts (ALMA) Award nominees and two faith film are prominently represented.
For Greater Glory, the historical action epic Mexico’s Cristero War for religious freedom, is this year’s most-nominated film with five nominations – including Favorite Movie, Favorite Movie Actor (Andy Garcia), Favorite Movie Actress Drama/Adventure (Eva Longoria) and Favorite Movie Actor in a Supporting Role (both Rubén Blades and Oscar Isaac).
Not far behind, The Way (now available on DVD) has picked up three nods, including Favorite Movie, Favorite Movie Actor (Martin Sheen) and Favorite Movie Actor in a Supporting Role (Emilio Estevez).
