Holy Lightning Round! From Big Hollywood: Thursday night’s debut of “The American Bible Challenge” gave the cable network its highest rated program of all time. The show “outperformed the previous record by over half a million viewers,” according to the network and ranked among the top 5 cable networks in total viewers.
What’s really nice about the Jeff Foxworthy-hosted game is that viewers get to see believers having fun and playing to help people other than themselves. The uplifting show is also getting attention from other networks. I really liked Jimmy Kimmel’s line on his ABC show: “You know, the last time there was a Christian-themed game show, there were lions involved. So, I think this is a step in the right direction.”
