Here’s today’s dispatch from the crossroads of faith, media and culture.
Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Impossible Dream airs Sunday (10/4) @ 9:00 PM (ET) on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. The two-hour film picks up where last month’s edition (titled Truth Be Told) left off. In this episode the postal detectives work against the clock to decode a letter that could hold the key in saving the life of a missing American medic in Afghanistan. The episode guest stars Mark Valley (Fringe) and Christina Bianco (Forbidden Broadway).
SSD renewal signed, sealed and delivered. With the increasing popularity of the franchise — a big hit with faith audiences who appreciate the overt belief in God displayed by lead detective Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius) — Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has announced that production of four more Signed, Sealed, Delivered movies slated for 2016. The series is created and produced by Martha Williamson (Touched By An Angel).
In announcing the deal, Hallmark Programming V.P. Michelle Vicary praised the series and Williamson’s “distinctive brand of storytelling.” For her part, Williamson says “It’s a privilege to have four more opportunities to encourage our loyal audience and continue growing this franchise that is finding its way into more homes and hearts.” She recently spoke with Raymond Arroyo about the show on EWTN’s The World Over.
