Here’s the latest from the crossroads of faith, media & culture: 10/30/24
Faith and patriotism are back. However the election turns out next week, it seems our nation and our culture are poised for a revival of not just faith and patriotism but gratitude for all the blessings we have received from God and the sacrifices of those who have gone before us. Two examples include this Friday’s release of a rock version of Lee Greenwood’s classic patriotic anthem God Bless the U.S.A. and the premiere of Executive Producer Chris Pratt’s heartfelt documentary Fighting Spirit: A Combat Chaplain’s Journey in theaters on November 8th. It’s time to, as they say, turn the page on the shaming of ourselves and our shared history to once again begin honoring the heroes who have gone before us with gratitude.
