Have you ever wanted to know what it would be like to be an investigative journalist – traveling to the furthest and most dangerous regions of the world to give a voice to the voiceless by reporting on harrowing stories of social injustice? If so, here’s your chance.
Pulitzer prize-winning NY Times columnist Nicholas Kristoff, has announced his fourth “Win a Trip with Nicholas Kristof” contest. First prize is a working trip to Africa to report on some of the most compelling and important stories of our day.
Kristof, who has reported on six continents and traveled to more than 140 countries and all 50 states and is described on his blog as having had “unpleasant experiences with malaria, mobs and an African airplane crash,” has made a name for himself as a voice for the voiceless throughout the world. His reporting of the Tiananmen Square democracy movement won him (and his wife) a Pulitzer Prize and his reporting of the genocide in Darfur, which won him a second Pulitzer, is credited by many as the reason much of the world came to know of the genocide there. Check out the video below of visit to learn more about the contest and visit Kristof’s blog for information on how to enter. This prize is no vacation, but is sure to be the trip of a lifetime.
