For the past six years, I’ve been taking pictures of flowers and manipulating the images to form mandalas. I’d like to assemble these images into a book, and I’d like your help.
On a semi-regular basis, I’d like to simply post images of my flower mandalas. I’ll then create entries for them in the Flower Mandalas Project group, where I invite your comments.
What I have in mind is a book of 52 images, with one page containing a flower mandala and the opposite page a quotation that in some way complements the image. My intent is for each image-and-quote pair to resonate with a fundamental aspect of human experience.
I welcome any and all responses. Suggestions for a complementary quote, a word that these mandala images evoke, or some history or other information about the flower itself are most welcome, as are original compositions.
I will include, in the book’s forward, how I came to the quotes I eventually end up using. Any original work will retain the author’s copyright.
Thanks in advance!
