I’m finally working on the layout for my forthcoming “Fifty-Two Flower Mandalas” book and am looking for your feedback on the book’s design.

I have posted five versions of the layout for a sample chapter. Each chapter consists of a title page, quotation page, image page, and essay page. They are very similar, but have variations in background, framing of images, and use of gradients or no gradients for background images.

I’d appreciate your responding to these layouts and telling me which you like better, and why — either which layout as a whole, or which way of representing the title page, quotation page, image page, or essay page.
